Editorial policy
Coastal Match Journal aims to make matchmaking topics clear, fair and useful without presenting compatibility as a certainty. We distinguish general explanation from personal advice and correct errors openly.
Accuracy and care
We check names, definitions and factual claims against suitable source material before publication, and keep claims proportionate to what the material supports. Where a question has no single answer, we explain the limits rather than presenting one view as universal. We avoid promises that a method or preference will produce a particular relationship outcome.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made separately from commercial arrangements. Paid, gifted or partner-supported material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable treatment or editorial approval.
Corrections and illustrations
If a reader spots a factual error, they can contact us with the article title and a clear explanation. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, making significant changes apparent to readers. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when an illustration is AI-generated, we identify it as such.
A match is a meeting, not a formula
Compatibility is not a score that can tell you what to choose. We offer prompts and context to help you think clearly and make your own decisions.
